I never kill a bug when I can release it to the wild, I'd rather watch a Yankee game than go to the mall, I like eating out as much as ordering in, and no matter how many times I've seen it--I always cry when Jimmy Stewart finds Zuzu's petals.
I lean to the left, but don't follow a party line. Love talking current events and politics. Also love rock--classic to alternative, history--ancient to modern, good seafood, documentaries, old movies(from Bergman to Brooks), red wine, 7-11 blueberry coffee(don't knock it 'til you've tried it), Jerry Lewis, and pop culture.
I don't love, or even like, faith-based government or science, brown bananas, slaves to fashion labels, spinning (bike-riding is fine, outside without the house music and all the sweating), Starbuck's coffee, and pop culture(I guess it's kind of a love-hate thing).
And sometimes, just sometimes, I laugh at people, not with them.
My Ideal Person:
I used to say a cross between Bill Murray and Sen. Russ Feingold with a little Dave Grohl and Seymour Hersh mixed in, but now I'm not even sure what that means. I'm looking for someone with a good heart, agile mind, and great sense of humor. Of course there's more to it, but that's a good start.
The last great book I read
The Lovely Bones, most of Sedaris, Running With Scissors,
The Corrections, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close,
James Ellroy's My Dark Places--also loved Al Franken's
Lying Liars and Dowd's Bushworld. Recently, What
is the What and Middlesex were pretty great. Yes, I know.
That's what everybody says. Sometimes the majority
gets it right. Letters to a Young Poet, Vanity Fair(the
book, not the magazine), Vonnegut and Roth. I'd call
them great, too.
My most humbling moment
peeing in my tights in 2nd grade-only because the teacher
didn't see my desperately waving hand. I learned I
don't have to ask permission to have my needs met.And
not to wear white tights.
Favorite on-screen sex scene
Bill Murray and Roxanne the camp counselor in Meatballs.
Closely followed by Chevy Chase and Lacey Underalls in
Caddyshack.
The celebrity I resemble the most
A cross between Joanie and Nancy in Eight is Enough.
The best or worst lie you've ever told:
I've never seen Eight is Enough.
If I could be anywhere right now
Italy. The little one in New York. Or the big one in Europe. Either way, I'm getting a canolli.

becoming must-see tv as well)
NY Times (especially the crossword puzzle)
Nylabones-(they're plastic--a bone substitute,
if you will--my dog loves 'em. Personally, I prefer
the occasional T-bone. Medium-well.)
Feet-(if that counts as 2, I'll just take the left one.)
